Good morning Kindergarten friends!

We will be working on a math task today!

Today's Outcomes (from the Kindergarten Program Statement):

- sorts a set of objects based on a single attribute, and explains the sorting rule
- says the number sequence 1 to 10 by 1s, starting anywhere from 1 to 10
- compares quantities 1 to 10, using one-to-one correspondence

Please log into Epic Books!

To sign up:
Mrs. G's Classroom Code is: cdu3248 or you might have already received an invite link to sign up via email.
Miss Aebli's class should have already received an invite link to sign up via email (otherwise the code is yrz7862).

Search for the book "Play with Sorting!" This is a great book that provides ideas for different ways to sort a variety of objects.

Here are some short videos you can watch about sorting!

Your task today is to gather some of your favourite toys from around your home. See how many different ways you can sort your toys (by size, colour, texture, type of toy, shape, etc). Can you explain each sorting rule? Count how many toys are in each group. Which group has the most/least number of toys?

Remember that it is important to stay active and keep your body moving each day while we are at home! Here is a yoga activity you may want to try today. You can ask your family members to join in too!

Have a wonderful weekend!  See you Monday.
