Happy Monday!

Today, we read the story "Say Something" by Peter H. Reynolds. This book has been chosen by the staff at Bridlewood School to help guide our teaching this year. Each teacher will read this story with their students, and together, work towards answering the question, "How can I use my voice to make a difference in my world?". Students will come to learn that their voice is important and can be a powerful tool to make change.

After reading this story and having a discussion, our Kindergarteners drew a picture and shared with their teacher something that they say. We will continue to refer back to our theme of "saying something" that makes a difference in this world, and we will also discuss how sometimes you can say something, without actually using words. Stay tuned!

REMINDER: Please join us on Thursday night (4:30-6pm) at our Open House! Meet your child's teacher, take a look around their classroom, and see the work they have done so far.

Scholastic Book Orders were sent home today. Please follow the steps on the handout to set up an account and make your order, if you so wish. With any orders that are made, a small portion of that money goes back to your child's teacher so that they can purchase additional classroom books. Thanks in advance!
