Our first Monday of Kindergarten!
Today we had a very important chat about fire-drills. We talked about what they are, why they happen, and what our job is when there is one. Then we practiced lining up quickly and quietly at our classroom doors, and we also practiced walking to our spot outside.
Next we read "Scaredy Squirrel". See if your child can remember one of the many things Scaredy Squirrel is afraid of!
After snack, Miss Aebli's AM class had gym for the first time! Students met our Phys. Ed teacher, Mrs. O. Ask your child what game they played.
Miss Schafer's AM class explored the centres. Her PM class also had gym for the first time today. Miss Schafer's AM class will have gym tomorrow.
Before dismissal, students listened to a new song! Then we played it again and students were invited to sing-a-long if they could remember the words. Click the video below to hear it!
