Today the AM groups learned about important words like "respect", "include", and "promise". We read the story "What Does it Mean to Be Kind?" to help us generate ideas for our "class promise". Together, we talked about what kinds of things we can promise to each other and to ourselves to make our classroom a great place to be. We wrote down our ideas and each student signed the promise with their painted handprint and name. Ask your child what some of our promises are!
Miss Aebli's class promise. Stay tuned for Miss Schafer's!

The AM groups went to the gym for our morning Terry Fox Run. They performed their dance and then ran laps for Terry. They did an awesome job and didn't give up, even when it got tiring! Students should be proud of themselves! Special thanks to those from all classes that brought in a donation to the cause. We will let you know how much our school raised when the count has been finalized!

The PM group had a very busy afternoon between the Terry Fox Run at the field and our assembly! Before going outside, students heard the story "Sam and Dave Dig a Hole". The message behind this book is to try hard and never give up (similar to what we know about Terry Fox)!

The PM group will make their class promise at another time.

REMINDER: Tomorrow is an AM Friday!
