Happy Friday!
Our kindergarten students are lucky enough to start every Friday with some time in the gym playing games with Miss Schafer. Today, we learned a new gym game called "Volcanoes vs. Ice Cream Cones", which required team work and sportsmanship above all else. Afterwards, we were able to meet up with our grade 2/3 buddies again, but this time, we got a chance to visit their classroom and check out their space. With our buddies we played a game called "Roll a Monster", where students had to roll a dice, subitize the number, and draw the appropriate body part of their monster. This was a lot of fun! Ask your student if they remember their buddies name, and what kind of monster(s) they created together. Our grade 2/3 buddies are good friends and mentors and are becoming a very important part of our Bridlewood family.
After snack and a story, we took advantage of the nice fall weather and went outside to play at the playground. Afterwards, we were able to squeeze in some time for centres before getting ready to wrap up our day.
Enjoy your weekend!
