Today we did some SCIENCE! First we talked about what that means and learned that science can be many things, like testing experiments or learning about the world around us. We talked about the 5 senses (ask your child what they are) and talked about how we might use our senses in the FALL. We got to use our senses to look at pictures, and listen to the sounds of leaves crunching, fire crackling, and Canadian Geese honking. We also got to smell cinnamon, cloves, pumpkin spice, and a Fall scented candle! THEN we got to use our sense of taste! We tried 3 different kinds of apples that grow in the Fall. See if your child can remember what they were called (hint: granny smith, Fuji, and red delicious).
Students tasted a piece of each apple and then indicated how much they enjoyed the apple on their taste testing card. Then each class voted on which apple they liked BEST. Ask your child which one was their favourite!
Miss Aebli's group explored centres today. There was two new centres! Ask your child what they were. Miss Schafer's AM group went to gym. The PM group explored centres and then had music with Mrs. Fatica!
Reminder: Tomorrow is a PM Friday!
Thank you for sharing it all with us. It is very interesting to see what kids are doing every day.
