Today we exchanged our library books at the Learning Commons! If you forgot your book at home, bring it back and we will find some time to pick a new one.

We started talking about FAMILY today! We brainstormed all the things that families might do together, ways that families make us feel, and things the people in our families might do for us. We read a book called "A Family is A Family is A Family" and learned that families come in many different shapes and sizes. We compared some differences and similarities between the families in the photos we have already received. Gentle reminder to bring in your photo by October 15th. ☺

When talking about families, so many great ideas were shared!

Our students shared that families:

- make dinner
- live with each other
- give hugs
- love each other
- protect us from dogs that don't like kids
- teach us new things
- buy stuff for us
- get us treats like ice-cream
- are silly and funny
- play with us
- take care of us
- include our pets

Miss Schafer's AM group had music and gym today! Miss Aebli's group explored the NEW centres! Ask your child what centres they went to today. Miss Schafer's PM group also got to explore the new centres.

Bubble wrap is a fun and simple centre that strengthens our fine motor skills! If you have any spare bubble wrap at home, please send it with your child to school so we can keep building those finger muscles! ☺

REMINDER: School Photo orders are due October 11th. NO SCHOOL this Friday or Monday.
