Today we talked about what a lockdown is and what to do when we have one. We learned that it may be necessary to have a lockdown if there is an animal inside/outside the school, if there is danger like a washroom flood, or a person is inside or outside of the school who shouldn't be. Then we practiced sitting in our quiet spot in the classroom for a few minutes. We learned that we must stay silent and still until a trusted officer unlocks our door and tells us the lockdown is over.
We wanted to take advantage of the nice weather we are having today so we went outside after our practice! We tried to read a story...but the sun was in our eyes! So we had free-time at the park instead.
Miss Schafer's AM group went to music and gym. Miss Aebli's group explored the centres. The PM group went to gym!
REMINDER: If you have not yet brought in a family photo you can still do so!
Our school does not wear costumes on Halloween Day. Instead, we wear orange or black for "Orange and Black Day". If you would like to wear your costume to school and celebrate with your classmates/teachers, you may choose to come to the Halloween Family Dance on the evening of October 24th. More info is below:
