Happy Mindful Monday!

Today we read the story "Breath Up Wonder Pup" and learned about animal breathing, a tool we can use when we need to come back to the green zone. Ask your child to show you what "animal breathing" looks like.

All students continued working on their *TOP SECRET* project! They can't wait for you to see it!

Miss Aebli's AM group had gym this morning. We played "Snowflake Tag". Ask your child how to play this game! Miss Schafer's AM group explored centres. The PM class was very busy! After they worked on their top secret project, they had gym with Mrs. O! They had just enough time for snack before going back to the gym to sing some holiday carols with the rest of the school. There will be one more opportunity for carolling on Thursday morning, and AM students will participate.

REMIDNERS:

An important note went home today! Check your child's backpack.

Outdoor Play  Day

We are planning to go outside this week for a special "Winter Play" day! Students will need to come to school prepared to spend about 45 minutes outside. Please dress warmly and bring snowpants, mittens, a hat, etc.

Miss Aebli's AM class and Miss Schafer's PM class will be going out on Tuesday December 17th. Miss Schafer's AM class will go Wednesday December 18th.

Students will have time to explore a variety of winter activities, such as making snowmen, snow angels, and more! If your child has any beach toys they would like to bring to make "snow castles" they are free to do so.

PAJAMA DAY

December 18th (PM ONLY)

December 19th (AM Kinder & Grades 1-6)
  • Thursday December 19th is an early dismissal day for ALL Bridlewood students. AM Kinder will assume regular Friday hours on this day (8:15 - 11:45).
Kindergarten students will celebrate their last day together of 2019 with a special Winter Celebration, and will be watching a movie in our PJs! If you would like to send in a healthy snack or treat to share with the class you may do so. We will have a table set up where students can choose a few items to have while they watch the movie.

We are still collecting donations for the Canadian Mental Health Association all this week. You can send in items such as toiletries, mittens, toques, scarves, or clothing for men/women.
