Happy Tuesday!

Today we did some serious math thinking! We re-read the story "The Mitten", and then talked about the animals in the story, focusing on how many feet they each have. Students were given a blank mitten and then a problem to solve! They were told that there was a new rule, and that there could only be ten FEET inside their mitten. We all had to think very carefully about which animals could fit inside the mitten if only ten feet were allowed!

Ask your child what animals they put in their mitten, and how many feet they each have? How do they know it makes ten feet altogether?

Both AM classes had music together this morning, as Mrs. Fatica had to shuffle the schedule around slightly. Miss Aebli's group also had some time for centres, and the the PM group did too!

REMINDERS:

There is NO school this Friday, January 31st.

Please take note of your child's show & share date, as this will be starting next week!

We are still in need of AM volunteers for our "Scientists in Schools" workshop. Both teachers are looking for 2 more helpers each!

Miss Aebli - February 25th
Mrs. Gross - February 26th
