Wednesday, January 15th

Today we continued our work in literacy by learning a new letter! We have learned uppercase F and E and their sounds so far. Today we moved on to letter D! This work will become a focus this term and we will work on a letter or two each week. Ask your child what sound the letter D makes, and what words start with this letter! We brainstormed a LOT of D words!

Just a reminder that we are not learning our letters in alphabetical order, but in a developmentally appropriate sequence designed to help students learn letters in the most efficient way. Below is the order we are following (in case you would like to review at home).

Miss Aebli's AM group went to music and gym this morning. Mrs. G's AM group had centre time. The PM group had gym as well as centre time.

REMINDERS:

The oral health nurse that visited our school on Monday had to cancel the remainder of the week due to illness. She will be back next week to give remaining students fluoride treatment.

This Friday is an AM day.

Please return your child's report card envelopes to be used again at the end of the year. Thank you!
